Leadership and organization at a glance

The MIT Organization Chart provides information about MIT’s academic and administrative organization and leadership. Three charts identify the Institute’s senior officers, the leaders who confer on matters of academic policy, and the officers of the MIT Corporation. The site also includes an expanded reporting list that shows the units that report to each senior officer as well as a repository of the officers’ letters to MIT community, key reports, and projects.

Popular compendium of essential facts about MIT

MIT Facts provides an annual overview of the breadth of the Institute’s academics, activities, and culture, for people exploring MIT and community members interested in engaging them. This essential reference tool includes key information about the Institute’s organization, academic and research programs, enrollment, financial data, and much more.

MIT Bulletin (Course Catalog)

MIT’s official academic information at your fingertips

Published each August, the MIT Bulletin, also known as the Course Catalog, provides a comprehensive description of the Institute’s academic policies, programs of study, and course descriptions.

Subject schedules by term are available on the Registrar’s Office website.

Find who and what you need, from A to Z

The MIT Offices & Services Directory contains contact information for many of the Institute’s offices, departments, labs, centers, and programs. Editors in the respective offices maintain the directory listings and update them as needed. Most entries for people in the Offices & Services Directory are refreshed daily from information that individual staff members provide through Atlas.

Reports

Working with stakeholders to create high-impact reports for the Institute

We assist MIT’s leadership in producing major reports, plans, and recommendations that result from task forces or studies, or that reflect their perspective on important issues or challenges facing the Institute. Our services include editing and proofreading; assistance with the creation of accessible PDFs; design and print management; and referral to and coordination with other MIT offices as needed to help meet communication needs.

Reports to the President

MIT’s Reports to the President are published online. Editions from 1995 on are available on the Reports to the President website. The MIT Libraries has the complete collection of MIT’s Reports to the President, dating from 1871.
